AKASH Android Tablet: Going To Be More Cheapest In India

The Telecom and Information Technology Minister of India Kapil Sibbal said the price of AKASH Android Tablet is going to be less in coming days. Recently a single Tablet worth US $49, which may lessen up to $ 35 (around Rs. 1, 900/-) in coming future. The actual price of AKASH Android tablet was Rs. 2, 263/- which was lessened to 50% by the Govt. of India after looking the wanting of school students; and it was sold at Rs. 1, 130/-

Recently in a functional meeting of Telecom Equipment and Service Export Promotion Council at New Delhi, Mr. Kapil Sibbal said the AKASH Android Tablet consist all the specifications and modern features that others have. In its next production, Skype application will be installed with it, which was used to make free internet callings or voice calls without inserting any SIM in to that. In addition, it will work fine as a $150 worth Tablet does. Mr. Sibbal also said more than 2/3rd of world’s population needs it, though it is very cheap and it’s impossible to purchase a $150 price tablet by them.

Regarding the up-gradation of this Tablet, Mr. Sibbal added words as: the capacitive (touch) screen was been imported at $20-$22 and the extra manufacturing cost comes nearby $2. If the complete manufacturing and processing unit was set up in India, the price comes down from $49 to $29. Now Govt. of India plans to manufacture 5 million AKASH Android Tablets in its next session, which will implemented after passing by next cabinet.
